Who we are
Beyond News is a calibrated news app that personalises articles, depth, and explanations to what you already know. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.
What we collect

Your rights
Under GDPR you can:
- Access the data we hold about you via Privacy & Data → "See what we hold"
- Port your data via Privacy & Data → "Export my data"
- Correct inaccuracies in Profile → You → edit any field
- Delete your account via Privacy & Data → "Delete my account"
- Withdraw consent for behavioural analytics; toggle off any time
- Object to legitimate-interest processing (crash reports); toggle off any time
How long we keep your data
- Account + profile + bookmarks: until you delete your account
- Reading history: until you clear it manually or delete your account
- Crash reports: 90 days
- Aggregate analytics (when opted in): anonymised, retained indefinitely
Where your data is stored
- Primary database (Supabase / PostgreSQL): EU (Ireland)
- Knowledge graph (Neo4j Aura): EU (Frankfurt)
- Crash reports (Sentry): EU (Frankfurt)
No data is transferred outside the EU/EEA in V1.
Cookies and tracking
The app does not use cookies (it's a native app, not a website). The app does not do cross-app tracking and does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

Material changes will be notified in-app the next time you open Beyond News. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
